A meeting to promote female talent in the automotive industry
Last week, on the occasion of International Women's Day, Industrias Alegre participated in an event organized by Ford to celebrate the role and contribution of women in the automotive industry. The event was attended by several of the managers of our company: Patricia Domínguez (Quality), Amparo Vázquez (R&D), Llanos Micó (Human Resources) and Mónica Alegre (Sales).

The day, which included spaces designed for networking, included an interesting presentation by Nuria Lloret, professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, focused on the need to promote respect for diversity in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
Experiences in female leadership
Immediately afterwards, a round table discussion was held in which Monica Alegre took part along with managers and experts in the sector - Romina Moya, Maria Udaeta and Rocio Molina - to share their experiences in female leadership, talent retention, economic empowerment and the promotion of women in STEM careers.
The talk provided an opportunity to reflect on how the presence of diverse profiles is much more than a mere positioning in the eyes of consumers: it is a decision that brings tangible benefits to organizations.
In the case of Industrias Alegre, its commitment is reflected in the considerable presence of women in positions of responsibility. Ford, for its part, has a diversity policy that was implemented in Henry Ford's time and reinforced from the 1970s onwards. It is a formula that has contributed to the company's consolidation in the market. Today, this vocation for openness is not limited to gender, as the company also promotes ethical, religious and cultural diversity.
Equal opportunities as a driver of growth
The round table held, besides having a clear vindictive character, had a particularly emotional moment when Maria Udaeta, director of Ford Spain, dedicated some very special words to our colleague Monica Alegre, to our company and to the commitment we showed with Ford after the terrible moments of the floods suffered last October.
That is why this chronicle cannot close without Industrias Alegre expressing its gratitude to Ford for the support received during the very hard times we have lived through. Thanks to Ford's volunteers and their coordination, it was possible to speed up the cleaning tasks, the relocation of finished product and the reorganization of materials.
This support makes the bond between the two companies even stronger and demonstrates how teamwork makes it possible to overcome operational challenges.
